Welcome to The Gay Wizard! Over the last year this site has evolved into a lovely small boutique of quality home-grown magickal herbs and natural hand-made incense. With deep appreciation, I thank all of you who have visited and supported this site. This year, I have added a selection of hand-made smudge sticks and medicine bags. These are available in limited quantities, and when gone, will not be available again until next season. Additionally, (and I’m very excited about this) I have added a custom service, where I can develop personalized products and services specific to your goals.
Why are The Gay Wizard products special? I’m glad you asked. My products, with the exception of a few exotic ingredients that can’t be grown in my area, are made from my own herbs that are home-grown using organic methods. Everything is also hand-made by me, and in so doing, is infused with potent energy and intent. I think you will find that my home-grown and hand-made products really make a difference when compared to those offered by larger impersonal sellers. Often these sellers purchase their ingredients in bulk from some even larger corporation or simply repackage corporate products under their own label. The time, love, care, energy and intent put into working with the plants throughout the wheel of the year, and the process of crafting the products made from them, offers a great benefit to the end user. I believe these benefits to be true and so do my clients.
Why the name The Gay Wizard? I’m glad you asked that too! Well, the name is because I am gay. However, you need not be in order to enjoy the products that I offer. The choice of including gay in the title was important to me because being gay is important to me. This is something that is part of my being; it is part of what defines me as a person, as a healer and as a worker of magick. There is a balanced sensibility of both the Divine Masculine and the Divine Feminine that exists within me -- as if it is a unique third type of spirit all of its own. It is this sensibility, that I feel increases my abilities, my perceptions, my spiritual growth, and of course, my sense of style ;)
Who is The Gay Wizard? I am a pagan, a rural dweller, who engages actively with nature daily. I've been a solitary practitioner of the magickal arts since 1998. I am a celebrant of Mother Earth and Father Sky, and of that Third Spirit which uniquely manifests both the Divine Masculine and the Divine Feminine. I am an ordained minister with a Master of Arts degree and a Reiki Master Teacher among other things. However, like most things in life, it is our actions, not our degrees or accolades, which define and measure our abilities. So most importantly then, I am a cunning-man and naturalist, like those of my kind who have come before me, who assumes the role of teacher and healer. I am one who uses the energies of the Earth and the natural world; one who uses eclectic spiritual practices to help heal myself and others.
Furthermore, I’m a gardener and crafty person who not only grows magickal herbs but also spins wool into yarn, beads jewelry, throws pottery, makes paper, makes books and participates in variety of other crafts. One of my passions is making magickal craft items by hand that are infused with energy and intent. As importantly, I enjoy sharing these items with others to use in their own Workings, Healings and Devotions. I have tried to make affordable, those items for sale here (Herbs, Incense, Smudge Sticks, Medicine Bags & More), while keeping in mind my need to cover the costs of this website, supplies & materials.
